I find this to be quite maddening for many reasons, but not least of which the missed opportunity for our students. In any other universe, people would think it a great idea to connect up-and-coming technologists with one of the top intellectual property firms in the country. Entrepreneurship is supposed to be a campus priority these days, and it was quite generous of you to offer to embed students and their projects in your office to illustrate the content being delivered here in a course on IP. Apparently entrepreneurship is only a priority when done by the right people here, and I apologize that your kind willingness to help your alma mater was not better met. I hope we can find some other opportunity to work together in the future, and in the mean time I am confident that my friends in engineering, to whom I referred you, will show more entrepreneurial spirit on behalf of their students than you have witnessed from computer science.
